Simone Martin is a General Paediatrician who has moved from Victoria to enjoy the warmer climate of the Top End. After graduating in Medicine from Monash University (Melbourne), she undertook her Paediatric training, as well as additional training in Neonatology, in various locations around Victoria and in Dublin, Ireland. She has completed a Masters of Public Health and Tropical Medicine through James Cook University (Townsville), and is working towards qualifications in Neonatal Ultrasound.
Her specific areas of interest are newborn medicine, unsettled babies, child development, and helping children born early reach their full potential. She appreciates being part of the support team for her patients and their families, in collaboration with allied health specialists and other colleagues.
Outside of work, she enjoys camping with her family, games evenings, making music at her local church, learning languages and getting the most out of the beautiful Darwin environment!
