Dr Louise Woodward is an experienced General Paediatrician who has a wide scope of practice. She is one of the founding members of Darwin Paediatrics, a group paediatric practice, which covers all areas of paediatrics. She has particular interests in Neonatology, Acute Care Paediatrics, Adolescent Medicine and Indigenous Health.
She graduated from Monash University in Melbourne in 2002. The majority of her paediatric training was done at the Royal Children’s Hospital in Melbourne. She also spent 2 years training in Neonatology and Paediatric Haematology/Oncology in Dublin, Ireland. She completed her training at Royal Darwin Hospital. In addition to her private practice, she is also a Consultant Paediatrician to Royal Darwin Hospital and a Visiting Specialist to Katherine District Hospital.
Louise moved to Darwin in 2011 with her husband and young daughter, and she has since had two more little boys. She has spent 4 years working in the Territory, at Royal Darwin Hospital and in several remote communities. Inspired by her patients and fellow clinicians, not to mention the relaxed Darwin lifestyle, she has no plans to leave.
